And Google is always first to take part in the social works. In a very near time Cyclone Nargis hit the Myanmar. So now Google plays an important role for support victims of the cyclone in Myanmar.

Myanmar is a developing country. Most of the people of the country depend on cultivation. Their national success is also depending on agriculture. And their mostly cultivated crop is paddy. But most of the rice growing heartland has been destroyed by the cyclone Nargis. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) associated press reported that, 5 states hit hardly by Saturday’s cyclone which produced 65 percent of the country’s rice. FAO also said that the cyclone hits 80 percent of its aquaculture, 50 percent of its poultry and 40 percent of its pig production. A lot of people are dead, uncountable people are injured and great number of people are missing. Others, thousands of homeless people are now slept on the street.

“There is likely going to be incredible shortages in the next 18 to 24 months,” Sean Turnell, an economist specializing in Myanmar at Australia’s Macquarie University told AP. “Things will be tough.” The CNN reported about it.

So many countries, organizations and person are coming in front for their helping. “The United States has made an initial aid contribution, but we want to do a lot more,” Bush said. “We are prepared to move U.S. Navy assets to help find those who have lost their lives, to help find the missing and help stabilize the situation.”

Google is now also trying to do their best for the help of the victims. Google makes an easy donate system in their page. If you open Google.com you will easily get to know about it. There is a message for helping the Myanmar: “Support victims of the cyclone in Myanmar (Burma)”. Google arranged a page where people can donate money directly to the UNICEF or Direct Relief International. Millions of people visit this site everyday. If only a few donate then also it’s a great help for them. It is a great step of Google for the helping of victims in Myanmar.

I can’t understand what happens with Tom (forum owner), I was not an active member there for long time. My last visit and last post was there around 10 days ago I guess. May be after that something happens with the forum and he feels to closing the entire forum.

It’s really a bad news for directory owners. Directory owners was the only one old directory discussion forum on the web.
